Applications for "Life Plus"follow a two-stage process. In the first stage a preliminary application that outlines the fundamental elements of the project is presented. The aim of this stage is to explain the project idea in a succinct way.

Projects considered successful among the preliminary applications are invited to the "Life Plus" Meeting. The aim of the "Life Plus" Meeting, carried out with the participation of two people from each project team, is to provide young people with training on project management, as well as with feedback on project ideas through workshops. As a result of this feedback, project teams are able to add technical and administrative details to their projects.

Following the "Life Plus" Meeting, participants acquire the right to make their principal applications.

First Stage: Preliminary Applications
 
Completion of Preliminary Applications:
  You can apply to the "Life Plus" Youth Program by completing the online application form and sending it to info@hayataarti.org
  Explanations regarding the headings in the preliminary application form are given in italics under those headings.
  The preliminary application should be completed in a clear manner, taking into consideration the criteria given in the form and in compliance with the number of lines stated in the explanation.
  The preliminary application form and the CVs of the project team members should be completed in line with the CV format given in the application documents.
  The deadline for preliminary applications is 6 June 2011.
Announcement of Preliminary Application Results:
  Following the assessment of preliminary applications by the Technical Assessment Committee, the results will be announced on 17 June 2011 on the website.
  Following the announcement of preliminary application results, the specifications signed by an official from the organization applying to the program should be put in an envelope together with a copy of the document indicating the legal status of the organization and the envelope, which contains also the name and address of the sender, should be sent by cargo courier or by registered and reply-paid post to the following address:

  Invitations to the "Life Plus" Meeting will be sent to two people from each project team that has passed the preliminary application stage and has sent the signed specifications and a copy of the document indicating the legal status of the organization applying to the program.
  Applications of organizations that have not sent the signed specifications and a copy of the document indicating the legal status of the organization applying to the program are deemed invalid.
The Aim of the "Life Plus" Meeting:
  Following the assessment of preliminary applications, two people from each selected project team are invited to the "Life Plus" Meeting in Istanbul. At the meeting they will participate in training and workshops prior to the completion of principal applications. The aim of the training is to provide capacity-building in the fields of project design and management, while the aim of the workshops is to ensure that project ideas are developed via mutual feedback.
  Projects participating in the "Life Plus" Meeting acquire the right to make principal applications.
The Content of the Training
  The training program lasts 6 days. During this activity, training in project management is provided, preliminary applications are reviewed together with experts in workshops and the weak and strong points of the applications are noted.

Second Stage: Principal Applications
 
Completion of Principal Application Forms:
 
  Principal applications to the "Life Plus" program are made by completing the principal application form, where more information is provided for the headings included in the preliminary application.
  Explanations regarding the headings in the principal application form are given in italics under those headings.
  Principal applications should be written clearly, on the computer, and in Turkish. Hand-written application forms will not be accepted.
  The format in the principal application form should not be changed, the number of lines should be complied with in specified cases - the first three headings.
  The project budget proposed in the preliminary form may be increased or reduced on the basis of revisions, but the amount of fund requested from "Life Plus" should be within the budget limits of (5.000 USD - 50.000 USD)
 
Additional Documents to Be Provided Together with the Principal Application Form:
 
  In order for the principal application to the "Life Plus" program to be complete, the following document must be sent together with the principal application form.
 
  The CVs of the project team members and of the people who will work in the project.
 
  Delivery of Principal Application Forms:
 
  The Principal Application form should be sent to info@hayataarti.org by 1 August 2011..
  Following the assessment of the principal applications by the Selection Committee, the results will be announced on the website on 15 August 2011.
