Characteristics sought in applicants
  Associations that are non-profit making public entities founded under the Law No 5253, foundations established under the Law No 5737 and cooperatives established under the Law No 3476 can apply to "Life Plus."
Characteristics sought in Project teams
  That the project team consists of young people aged between 18-30 and
  That the team executing the project consists of at least 3 people
 
Characteristics sought in projects:
  That the Project focuses on at least one of the subjects of water resources and/or forests;
  That it is original, innovative and sustainable;
  And that it takes social impacts into consideration.
 
Projects to be supported:
Ongoing projects, commercial projects and projects concerning physical infrastructure will not be supported. Projects are expected to focus on at least one of the following subjects: water resources and forests.

Water resources: ensuring the sustainable management and effective use of water resources and wetlands, achieving the wider implementation of agricultural irrigation methods that protect water resources
Forest: ensuring the sustainable use and protection of forest resources
 
Project length:
  The length of projects should be maximum 12 months.
 
Collaborations:
  Partner organizations are organizations that share responsibility in the preparation and execution of the Project:
 
  Partnership is not obligatory however is included in the scoring criteria;
  Partner organizations need to be legal entities (public bodies/organizations, non-governmental organizations, local administrations, universities, research institutes, private sector companies, chambers, etc.)
  Projects applying to "Life Plus" can have a maximum of 3 partner organizations (Apart from the organization that applies, there can be another 2 partner organizations).
  Partner organizations can make in-kind and pecuniary contributions.
Projects that obtain the right to make a principal application must sign a protocol with partner organizations.
 
  Supporting organizations are organizations that make only an in-kind or pecuniary contribution towards a project. In contrast to partner organizations, they do not share responsibility in the preparation and execution of the project:
 
  •The presence of a supporting organization is not obligatory however is included in the scoring criteria;
  Supporting organizations need to be legal entities (public bodies/organizations, non-governmental organizations, local administrations, universities, research institutes, private sector companies, chambers, etc.)
  Projects applying to "Life Plus" can have a maximum of 5 supporting organizations.
  Projects that obtain the right to make a principal application must sign a protocol with supporting organizations.
 
 
Characteristics sought in Project budgets:
  Budget items must be presented under the following 7 headings:
 
  Personnel (wage expenses for people participating and working in the project)
  Equipment and Materials (cost of equipment and materials necessary for the realisation of the project, fixed assets)
  Publications (cost of written, audio and visual materials to be used in project activities and promotion)
  Travel (cost of travel necessary for project activities)
  Activities ( budget necessary for the organization of activities)
  Other expenses (costs that are not included in the above items)
  Unanticipated expenses (10% of the total at most - the subtotal - of the above items)
  In the Preliminary Application, budget items should be stated as totals, without supplying any details. The in-kind contributions and estimated pecuniary contributions of the applying organization, of partner organizations and of supporting organizations, if any, should be stated. In the Principal Application, on the other hand, budget items should be given in detail and the grounds for each expense should be explained.
  Project budgets should be realistic and effective. Project budgets should consist of the most appropriate amount needed to carry out the proposed activities. Budget items should be balanced in accordance with the characteristics of the project. Unrealistic budget proposals pose a disadvantage from the point of view of scoring criteria.
